Shop Local!

Pat Dodd Racher, Saturday December 21st 2013

Today’s bustling Christmas Market in Llansawel Village Hall shows that lots of us like to shop locally. The hall is just 100 yards from where I live in this north Carmarthenshire village, roughly in the middle of a rectangle with Lampeter, Llandovery, Llandeilo and Pencader at the corners.

Music from the Pig’s Foot String Band, mistletoe, local cheeses and a brisk trade: sociable and successful

Not just for Christmas: there is a market in Llansawel village hall on the third Saturday of every month, 10am to 1pm
